People & Vision
Beyond Pangaea began as an experiment. Tetiana Gier, a computer scientist and curious artisan fascinated by the subtle logic of natural forms, set out to explore how AI can create jewellery that was textured, irregular and alive - yet felt relatable.
Weaving together various computational tools, each with its own strengths and peculiarities, novel and appealing designs eventually took shape. They seemed to tell the story of Earth’s evolution - abstract, yet reminiscent of natural forms and patterns.
This perception naturally led to Pangaea, Earth’s ancient supercontinent - symbolising both, unity and transformation across Earth's four billion years of history. But it also let to look beyond its literal form - to the forces that continuously reshape our world.
Hence, Beyond Pangaea is more than adornment. It is a framework of discovery, an exploration of how our planet formed and life unfolded, expressed through technology and craft. Each piece is a reminder of a chapter in the ongoing story of Earth’s evolution, and an invitation to carry that story with you.
Design Philosophy
At the heart of our design lies the perpetual interplay between chaos and order — the fundamental principle that drives evolution.
In the unanimated world, matter organises itself into spontaneous structures, sometimes under immense pressure, creating what chaos theory describes as “islands of predictability in a sea of unpredictability.”
In the living world, forms replicate to endure, but never identically: each replication deviates subtly, shaped by chance.
It is this constant dialogue between structure and surprise that has created the incomprehensible variety of forms, patterns, and species we so much admire. Our jewellery continues this dialogue - blending technology, inspiration and fortuity into new expressions of nature’s creative rhythm.
Craftsmanship & Transparency
Although our designs are conceptualised with AI, all our jewellery is crafted by hand.
From the fitting of digital models to 3D printing, casting by a renowned Swiss manufacturer, and meticulous finishing - hours of manual work flow into every piece, embodying the precision and integrity of Swiss craftsmanship.
Every piece of jewellery carries an identification number and a unique fingerprint discreetly engraved on it. Both, the number and the fingerprint are permanently and immutably recorded on a public blockchain together with key details such as the material, date of creation and official certifications. Owners can instantly check the provenance and authenticity of their piece - ensuring transparency, trust and timeless value.
Eventually, all our editions are limited, serving as a quiet reminder that Earth’s resources — like our creations — are precious and finite.
