Ordering & Production

Are your pieces ready-made or made to order?

All Beyond Pangaea jewellery is produced in limited editions.

Within these limited editions, pieces are manufactured on a made-to-order basis. Production begins only after an order is placed and continues until the edition is complete. We do not produce unlimited quantities and we do not hold finished stock other than sample collections.

What is the production timeline?

Production typically takes 15 business days.

Shipping times are separate and begin once production is complete.

Please note that production timelines may vary slightly during peak periods or holidays.

What happens after I place an order?

After checkout, your order is reviewed and scheduled for production.

If clarification is required, we will contact you before production begins. You will receive a notification once your order ships.

How can I track my order?

After placing your order, progress can be followed at any time inside your account on our website.

Each piece moves through several production stages before dispatch. Updates are reflected within the order page, and you will be notified at key milestones.

If you are using the Shop app, please note that it displays shipping updates once an order has been dispatched.

Can I include a gift message?

If your piece is a gift, you can include a personal message that will be sent together with the jewellery. Simply write your note in the "Special instructions" box in the cart before checkout.

Can I cancel or change my order?

We offer a 24-hour grace period for cancellations or modifications after purchase.

Because our production process is highly resource-intensive and involves official Swiss hallmarking for each individual piece, we cannot cancel, refund, or modify orders once they have entered the production phase (after 24 hours).

Can I see the piece in person before ordering?

Beyond Pangaea primarily operates on a made-to-order model and does not maintain inventory of finished pieces.

However, a small number of pieces are occasionally available for viewing at selected events or private presentations.

Exclusivity & Provenance

How unique is my piece?

Every Beyond Pangaea design is strictly limited to a maximum of 41 pieces worldwide. Once an edition is closed, that specific design/material/product type combination will never be produced again.

What makes my piece a Limited Edition?

An edition is defined by a unique combination of design, product type, and material. Once an edition is closed, that specific combination will never be produced again.

Note on Materials: We consider different precious metal alloys (such as 925 Silver, 18k Yellow Gold, or 18k Rose Gold) to be distinct materials. Each is catalogued as its own separate limited edition. All available materials for a specific design are listed on the individual product detail page.

Why is each edition limited to 41 pieces?

In mathematics, 41 is a prime number associated with generative systems — structures capable of producing immense complexity from simple rules. This reflects our fascination with the history of our planet: how the complex systems of life on Earth developed from simple initial structures.

What is a Digital Certificate and how do I access it?

Every piece is accompanied by a Digital Certificate secured on the Arbitrum blockchain. This serves as an immutable "birth certificate" for your jewellery, ensuring its provenance is recorded forever.

  • How to Access: Upon completion of your order, we will share a direct link to the certificate via email.
  • What’s Inside: The certificate includes a unique ID, the exact metal weight, the manufacture date, and an image of your piece’s "fingerprint."
What is a "Fingerprint"?

The "fingerprint" is a microscopic, laser-engraved pattern applied to the surface of each piece. This unique geometric signature is captured in your Digital Certificate via macro-photography.

Shipping & Delivery

Which countries do you ship to?

Beyond Pangaea ships internationally to a curated selection of destinations where secure delivery can be ensured.

This includes:

  • Switzerland and Liechtenstein
  • all member states of the European Union
  • the United Kingdom
  • the United States
  • Canada
  • Australia and New Zealand

We also ship to selected destinations in Asia and the Gulf region, as well as a small number of additional international locations.

Shipping availability is confirmed at checkout based on the delivery address provided.

The list of eligible shipping countries may change over time based on logistics and security considerations. Orders placed for delivery to unsupported destinations may be cancelled and refunded.

How long does shipping take?

Once production is complete:

  • Switzerland: 1–3 business days
  • International deliveries: typically 2–6 business days

All shipments include tracking information. Delivery times may vary depending on the carrier, customs processing, and destination country.

Are customs duties or taxes included?

Displayed prices may include or exclude VAT depending on the delivery destination.

For international deliveries outside Switzerland, import duties, taxes, or customs fees may apply depending on the destination country and local regulations.

For deliveries to the following regions, duties and import taxes are included in the price at checkout:

  • European Union
  • United Kingdom
  • Australia
  • New Zealand

For deliveries to the United States, Canada, Asia, the Gulf region, Norway and Iceland, import duties, taxes and customs charges may apply and are the responsibility of the recipient. These charges are determined by your country’s customs authorities and are collected by the courier upon import. Customers are responsible for complying with local import requirements.

What happens if my parcel is lost or damaged?

If your parcel arrives damaged, incomplete, or appears to be lost in transit, please contact us as soon as possible and, for damaged items, within 7 days of delivery.

We will assess the situation and arrange a repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate.

Why do prices sometimes differ between countries even when the currency is the same?

Prices displayed on our website may vary depending on the delivery destination. This is because taxes, VAT rules, and currency conversion are applied dynamically based on the shipping address selected during checkout.

For example, two customers viewing prices in the same currency may see slightly different totals if their delivery countries apply different VAT rates or import rules.

Returns, Refunds & Warranty

Do you accept returns?

We do not accept returns for change of mind or sizing issues.

Jewellery is produced on a made-to-order basis and, in the case of sized items, manufactured exactly to the size specified at checkout.

What if my item is defective or incorrect?

If you receive an item that is defective, damaged, or different from what was ordered, please notify us at contact@beyondpangaea.com within 7 days of delivery.

After review, we will offer a repair, replacement, or refund depending on the nature of the issue.

Do you offer a warranty?

All items are covered by the applicable statutory warranty for manufacturing defects.

Normal wear, surface scratches, patina, oxidation, or changes caused by regular use or environmental exposure are not considered defects and are not covered by the warranty.

What qualifies as a manufacturing defect?

A manufacturing defect refers to a fault that is present at the time of delivery and results from errors in material, casting, assembly, or finishing. Examples of manufacturing defects may include:

  • structural cracks or breaks not caused by external force
  • faulty soldering or joints
  • incorrect assembly of components
  • material purity not matching the stated specification

The following are not considered manufacturing defects:

  • normal wear and tear
  • surface scratches acquired during use
  • patina, oxidation, or colour changes of silver
  • damage caused by impact, pressure, or improper use

If you believe your item has a manufacturing defect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with clear photographs for assessment.

Sizing & Fitting

How do I choose the correct size?

Accurate sizing is important, especially for rings. Each product page includes sizing guidance and conversion charts.

If you are uncertain, we recommend being measured by a professional local jeweller or using a physical ring sizer. If you are between sizes, or need personalised advice, please contact us at contact@beyondpangaea.com before placing your order.

Can jewellery be resized?

Not all designs can be resized without affecting structure or finish. Therefore resizing is evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

If resizing is possible, it may involve additional cost and time. Please contact us to discuss options.

Materials & Craftsmanship

What materials do you use?

All Beyond Pangaea jewellery is crafted from solid precious metals only.

Each piece is submitted to Swiss Federal Assay Offices for official hallmarking, providing independent certification of metal purity.

Material specifications for each piece are listed on the product page.

Is your jewellery hypoallergenic?

Yes. Our alloys are strictly compliant with Swiss and European 'Nickel-reach' regulations (the highest global standards for safety).

All Beyond Pangaea pieces are crafted from solid precious metals and are suitable for sensitive skin under normal conditions of wear.

If you have a known metal allergy and require further information, please contact us before ordering.

Can silver change over time?

Yes. Silver may oxidise or develop patina over time. This is a natural property of the material and not considered a defect.

Is your jewellery hallmarked?

Yes. All applicable pieces are Swiss hallmarked in accordance with Swiss law and international standards.

Where is your jewellery produced?

All Beyond Pangaea jewellery is designed and produced in Switzerland.

Are your materials ethically sourced?

Yes. Our production partner is a certified member of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), who also complies with both the Code of Practices (COP) and the Chain of Custody (CoC) standards. This means the precious metals used for our products are fully traceable, conflict-free, and sourced through supply chains that respect human rights and environmental integrity.

Care & Longevity

How should I care for my jewellery?

To maintain the finish of your solid precious metals, we recommend removing jewelry before swimming, showering, or intense physical activity. Avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, and harsh chemicals. When not in wear, store your pieces in a cool, dry place — ideally in the provided Beyond Pangaea packaging — to minimise oxidation.

How do I clean my jewellery?

For routine cleaning, use a soft, lint-free cloth. For silver pieces that have developed a natural patina or oxidation, a specialised silver polishing cloth will restore the original luster.

Do not use abrasive cleaners, as these can alter the intended texture and finish of the design.
